You will find Shurgard Heemstede on Cruquiusweg, near the water tower and the Esso petrol station. Our premises are easy to reach by car, with a trailer or by van from the N201.
If you are going from Heemsteedse Dreef to the N201 in the direction of Hoofddorp, turn left at the first traffic lights after the Esso petrol station. Turn left again onto Cruquiusweg and drive past the Vintage Store to Shurgard Heemstede.

Loading and unloading is never a problem at Shurgard. We've designed our stores in such a way that you can reach your storage unit with your (heavy) objects quickly and conveniently.
- Enter our building by car (with or without trailer) via our long, spacious drive-in and load and unload your vehicle here.
- You can use our trolleys to move your belongings to your storage unit.
- There is also an outdoor lift, which allows you to move objects straight from your car or van.
If you need to frequently to pick up and drop off things, choose a ground-floor storage units with street access. You can park in front of these units for quick storage of your goods.
Access to your storage unit
You can access your storage unit 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with your personal access code.
Our employees are available between 9.30 and 18.00 (until 16.00 on Saturday).

Yes, at Shurgard Heemstede we have several direct access units. You can drive your vehicle directly to the door of your storage unit to make loading and unloading easy.

Below are the only extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of € 20: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers don't need to pay this fee.
- Goods coverage: for your own protection, you’ll need to get goods coverage for the belongings that you store with us. You can opt for a customised goods coverage policy starting at € 16 per month.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need to buy a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at € 14,90. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

With units on the ground floor, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.

You can rent your storage unit for an initial period of one month. After this period, your contract will automatically be renewed on a monthly basis.

Office opening hours is when the office is open if you want to sign your contract or talk to one of our Shurgard staff in person. Access hours is when you have access to your storage unit.

No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.

Upstairs storage units are often cheaper than those on the ground floor of the same size, so choose these if you don’t have a lot of bulky or heavy stuff to store, or if you don’t have to frequently move stuff in and out of your unit. At Shurgard you can still conveniently access your upstairs storage unit with the help of our spacious lifts and trolleys.

Yes, you can always stop by Shurgard during office opening hours and our staff will be happy to show you around.

Pretty much anything for personal and business reasons, such as furniture, clothes, sports equipment, archives and stock. There is a list of prohibited items in our Terms and Conditions. They include food and illegal, explosive, or hazardous materials.

You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
