Our location on Schuttevaerweg is easy to find: you can see the building from the A20, next door to Autobedrijf Troost and near Verstegen.

We have a wide range of unit sizes:
- If you want to store just a few small items, a few moving boxes or winter tyres, choose one of our smaller units of 0,5 m².
- Storage units of 2 m² and more are ideal for furniture, moving boxes and other household goods during a house move or home renovation.
Some storage units at Shurgard Spaanse Polder Schuttevaerweg are heated or ventilated as well.
If you are a business customer who need regular access to your inventory, choose a direct access units which you can drive your vehicle right up to the door for fast loading and unloading.

Our facility on Schuttevaerweg in the Spaanse Polder area is conveniently located near the Kleinpolderplein junction and the Kethelplein junction just down the road.
- Easy to reach from the A20, A4 and A13. Take exit 12, Spaanse Polder, on the A20. If you are coming from Rotterdam, stay on the right and follow the signs for the Van Nelle factory. If you are using a satnav, enter number 41 Schuttevaerweg, rather than 39.
- We are also close to public transport: the Marconiplein underground station is 10 minutes’ walk away. And the number 42 bus stops on Schuttevaerweg itself.
Extended access hours and security
Shurgard staff are available between 9.30 and 18.00 on weekdays and between 9.30 and 16.00 on Saturday to help you find the best storage unit for your needs.
You can access your storage unit every day between 6.00 and 23.00 using your personal PIN code. This code gives you access exclusively to the floor where your storage unit is located. For further security, only you have the key to your storage unit.
Our premises are also fitted with 24 hours camera surveillance. In case of emergencies, you can reach a Shurgard staff member by phone. Shurgard stands for safe self storage!

Below are the only extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of € 20: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers don't need to pay this fee.
- Goods coverage: for your own protection, you’ll need to get goods coverage for the belongings that you store with us. You can opt for a customised goods coverage policy starting at € 16 per month.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need to buy a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at € 14,90. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

With units on the ground floor, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.

Lockers are smaller storage units, at about 1 metre high and range in surface area from 0.5 to 1.5 m². Lockers are ideal for storing a few moving boxes, suitcases or your spare tyres.

You can rent your storage unit for an initial period of one month. After this period, your contract will automatically be renewed on a monthly basis.

No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.

Upstairs storage units are often cheaper than those on the ground floor of the same size, so choose these if you don’t have a lot of bulky or heavy stuff to store, or if you don’t have to frequently move stuff in and out of your unit. At Shurgard you can still conveniently access your upstairs storage unit with the help of our spacious lifts and trolleys.

Pretty much anything for personal and business reasons, such as furniture, clothes, sports equipment, archives and stock. There is a list of prohibited items in our Terms and Conditions. They include food and illegal, explosive, or hazardous materials.

You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
