I used this storage facility in Basingstoke for about a year (originally when it was Lok’nStore, before Shurgard took over) whilst moving house out of the area, and overall I’ve had a really good experience. The staff are absolutely brilliant — the same friendly, helpful team who always go out of their way to assist and make things easy. They really are what makes this place great.
Pricing is generally fair and competitive, though I did notice that since the change in ownership the flexibility around deals and discounts isn’t quite what it used to be under Lok’nStore. That said, the quality of service and the convenience of the facility have remained excellent, and everything has always felt safe and well maintained.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend Shurgard if you’re looking for reliable storage with genuinely lovely staff.

The ease of booking online with a selection of sizes, insurances and whether a lock was required couldn't have been easier. Arriving at the site, using the app made everything so easy to access the compound and use the lifts. The lock was in the storage room ready for us and nothing was too difficult. Well insulated areas so we know nothing will get damaged due to damp. Very happy with the ecperience

Very good and neat storage facility at a very reasonable price. The experience was fantastic and the process was seamless. I met Rebecca who gave me a very warm reception. I will definitely recommend this place if you are in search of a storage facility.

Thanks for getting me set up yesterday Paige in my unit. Now to do the fun part of decluttering, my only observation is it was very toasty on the 2nd floor today 🥵 app makes it super easy now I've got the hang of it. Plenty of trolleys about. Thanks Paige

Mike has been the most helpful, caring, understanding person from start to finish. I feel like crying at the kindness I’ve been shown.
The unit I initially rented was too small but was all I could afford, Mike came in on his white horse with a solution. At the end of the contract I had trouble with transport to empty the unit before the next charge came out, to which Mike came to the rescue once again. A clean, sufficient solution with friendly, helpful staff. 100% would recommend 🤩

Ed & Lara were both so helpful today. I had a DHL Collection, which I had travelled a long way to be there for. Both went out of their way to look after me and help me with anything which I needed & got me on my way home earlier than would've been possible without their help.
