Shurgard Den Haag Binckhorst in Laak district offers flexible self-storage solutions for residents of Laakkwartier, De Binckhorst, Den Haag Mariahoeve and Scheveningen.
This facility with 1.506 storage units on four floors is located on De Binckhorst industrial area. It is one of the largest Shurgard facilities in the Netherlands!
- We are easy to reach by car or truck: motorway exit number 4 (Voorburg) on the A12 is only a few hundred yards from our door.
- If you come by public transportation, we are between Voorburg station and Den Haag central station. Take bus 26 or 28 and get off at the Saturnusstraat bus stop, which is only a 200 yard walk from our location.
Unique storage location
Shurgard Den Haag Binckhorst is housed in a unique historical building: the old Caballero factory. Behind our store, the other part of the factory has been converted to create modern office space behind a classic façade. The workspaces have become a hub for creative and urban art professionals in The Hague.
Loading and unloading your vehicle – including trucks
- We have a special loading bay for trucks.
- Cars, vans and trailers can access the building through our drive-through, which offers access to vehicles up to 3 metres high. You can then park your vehicle for convenient loading and unloading.
- Street parking is also available.
- Ground floor storage units can be loaded and unloaded directly from your vehicle.
- Units on higher floors also offer easy access: use our trolleys and goods lift to take your belongings to your storage unit.
Security measures in place
Shurgard watches over your stored belongings using 24 hours CCTV and the assistance of a professional security firm.
Customers can access the premises 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.

Below are the only extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of € 20: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers don't need to pay this fee.
- Goods coverage: for your own protection, you’ll need to get goods coverage for the belongings that you store with us. You can opt for a customised goods coverage policy starting at € 16 per month.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need to buy a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at € 14,90. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

With units on the ground floor, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.

Lockers are smaller storage units, at about 1 metre high and range in surface area from 0.5 to 1.5 m². Lockers are ideal for storing a few moving boxes, suitcases or your spare tyres.

You can rent your storage unit for an initial period of one month. After this period, your contract will automatically be renewed on a monthly basis.

Office opening hours is when the office is open if you want to sign your contract or talk to one of our Shurgard staff in person. Access hours is when you have access to your storage unit.

No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.

Yes, our € 1 first month offer can be combined with our online special. This offer is valid for new customers and on selected storage units only.

Upstairs storage units are often cheaper than those on the ground floor of the same size, so choose these if you don’t have a lot of bulky or heavy stuff to store, or if you don’t have to frequently move stuff in and out of your unit. At Shurgard you can still conveniently access your upstairs storage unit with the help of our spacious lifts and trolleys.

Yes, you can always stop by Shurgard during office opening hours and our staff will be happy to show you around.

Pretty much anything for personal and business reasons, such as furniture, clothes, sports equipment, archives and stock. There is a list of prohibited items in our Terms and Conditions. They include food and illegal, explosive, or hazardous materials.

You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
