Security measures at Shurgard
- Outside of opening hours, customers can only access our premise with a personal PIN code. If your storage unit is on one of the upper floors, this code is required to operate the lifts.
- You are only given access to the floor that your storage unit is on.
- Your storage unit has a personal lock to which only you have the key.
- Our location is monitored by 24-hour CCTV, meaning your storage unit is watched over at all times.
- In the unlikely event of an emergency, a special security team is standing by to take action.

Below are the only extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of € 20: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers don't need to pay this fee.
- Goods coverage: for your own protection, you’ll need to get goods coverage for the belongings that you store with us. You can opt for a customised goods coverage policy starting at € 16 per month.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need to buy a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at € 14,90. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

With units on the ground floor, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.

You can rent your storage unit for an initial period of one month. After this period, your contract will automatically be renewed on a monthly basis.
