About Teenage Cancer Trust
Teenage Cancer Trust is the UK’s only charity dedicated to teenagers and young adults with cancer. It was founded in 1990 and provides specialist care, emotional support, and tailored service to help young people through cancer and beyond.
How does it work?
Teenage Cancer Trust delivers appropriate care and support for young people with cancer. The initiatives it takes are focused on three key areas:
- Specialist care: funding dedicated nurses, youth workers, and hospital units within the NHS, ensuring young people have specialised staff and facilities throughout treatment.
- Peer support: organising events that help young people regain independence and connect with others facing similar challenges.
- Information & guidance: providing clear, accessible information on all aspects of living with cancer.
