Needs a smartphone. The security system depends upon a smartphone app as your key into the facility and, in the lifts, to the floor on which your unit is located. There is no non-smartphone alternative access.

Stevenage I have found to be the best storage I have come across.

Great experience with a self storage unit here. Had a few questions and Mark was really friendly and helpful and answered them all, as well as telling me other really useful information.
The site and unit are really clean and access was really straight forward with the app.

When we visited to look around as we didn't know what size unit we needed & Mark showed us round & talked us through the process & help us set up the app. Also when we got our box we got a free pad lock for the unit which is really good quality. Monthly costing was very reasonable & we can upgrade or downgrade unit size any time we like.

My experience with Shurgard Stevenage was extremely positive. The staff were especially helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Help with setting up the app was really appreciated too. Once I had the app for opening entry doors and using the lift installed on my phone, it was really easy and straightforward to use. The whole unit is clean and tidy and I was reassured my belongings were in a safe and secure space at a reasonable price. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Shurgard Stevenage and the staff running it. I give them 5 stars, and a big thank you.

Prior to a loft conversion, I needed to store items that had been in the loft, including items I was storing for friends who were waiting to move to their new home. I visited all the self storage units in Stevenage but by far the most competitive price-wise was Shurgard. The staff there were very helpful, explaining everything that was required of me and showing me different sized units to allow me to decide which I needed. The building is bright, modern, spacious and clean. The Shurgard app is excellent, making access to the building, even out of hours and at weekends, very easy. After 5 months, when my friends had moved their items from my unit, I was able to move my items to a smaller unit and the monthly invoicing was adjusted accordingly straight away. If I were to note any negatives at all, which are minor, on a couple of occasions I had to scour the building for trolleys. Also, during the height of summer, the building was often like a sauna. Apart from that, I’m most grateful for an excellent service and would recommend Shurgard to anyone wanting a self storage unit.

The experience received at Shurgard Stevenage is phenomenal. Location is exceptional and the facilities are clean and tidy. Mark the site manger is attentive, extremely professional and a credit to the business. Any questions or requests are answered or facilitated with ease and quickly.
