Not usually one for reviews but I recently visited Shurgard Basingstoke as I’m in need of some storage in the near future. I was met with a pleasant lady called Paulette who was very welcoming and professional. She explained the process very thoroughly and her knowledge is excellent. She really did help put me at ease and make what is a stressful time seem a little smoother with her kind and warming nature.
Nothing was too much trouble for her and any questions she was more than happy to answer. I’m not sure when I will need the unit yet but I will ensure I come back to Shurgar due to all the wonderful staff, easy process, great location and fair prices.
After speaking with my daughter it turns out she also had the pleasure of dealing with Paulette when she used this storage back when it was Lok’n’store. Paulette is clearly a memorable and lovely member of staff who is a great asset to the team and deserves a special bonus/pay rise or something! Thank you Paulette!!

I popped into Shurguard Self Storage today and Chris was absolutely brilliant. He was so helpful, reassuring, and took the time to explain everything clearly, making the whole process really easy and stress-free. Nothing felt like too much trouble and I left feeling confident.

We required a short term unit as had a new garden shed installed and needed somewhere to store the contents. The Shurgard staff were very helpful. The costs and booking process were very easy. We would definitely use them again.

we stored our furniture etc at the Basingstoke branch of Shurgard. I must say all the staff were extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Lara and Ed are who dealt with us on different occasions, very professional and courteous always smiling. I recently used Shurgard in Basingstoke and had an excellent experience. The facility was very well organised, with easy access that made moving items in and out completely hassle-free. The staff were outstanding—especially Lara and Paulette, who were kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make using the facility was easy.
Shurgard was not only the closest option for us but also the most affordable, with clear and transparent charges that gave us peace of mind. It’s rare to find a storage company that combines convenience, value, and such genuinely supportive service.

Been using the Basingstoke location since March whilst waiting to move to London. Staff have always been helpful & friendly. Was shown a few different size rooms, I wasn’t pressured at all into taking the most expensive option.

I used this storage facility in Basingstoke for about a year (originally when it was Lok’nStore, before Shurgard took over) whilst moving house out of the area, and overall I’ve had a really good experience. The staff are absolutely brilliant — the same friendly, helpful team who always go out of their way to assist and make things easy. They really are what makes this place great.
Pricing is generally fair and competitive, though I did notice that since the change in ownership the flexibility around deals and discounts isn’t quite what it used to be under Lok’nStore. That said, the quality of service and the convenience of the facility have remained excellent, and everything has always felt safe and well maintained.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend Shurgard if you’re looking for reliable storage with genuinely lovely staff.

We would totally recommend Shurgard at Basingstoke. Great service from Lara, Ed and Paulette. They are always helpful and knowledgeable. Lara and Ed thoroughly explained the process and showed us around which made deciding on what storage unit size we’d require much easier. Every time we visit they’re always welcoming. The units are well cleaned before you move anything in. 5 stars all the way!

The Staff at this location are excellent friendly and helpful. It is a shame that Shurgaurd took over the place and increased prices. Only other quark was the opening hours especially weekends when people are free to access personal spaces. But staff make this place a 5star.
