We've been customers at Shurgard for a number of years, storing clothing stock for our small Community Interest Company, The Inside Out Clothing Project.
Recently, we realised our storage costs had started to creep up and, as a CIC, every penny really does count. I popped in to discuss the possibility of downsizing and was genuinely blown away by the service from Anthony on reception.
Not only did he take the time to understand our situation, but he managed to find us a smaller unit on the very same day, saving us around £200 a month. He absolutely didn't have to go the extra mile, but he did.
That kind of customer service is rare these days — proactive, thoughtful and genuinely helpful.
A huge thank you to Anthony and the team for supporting small organisations like ours. The service went above and beyond and it's very much appreciated.

My experience with Shuguard Putney branch was amazing. At first, I went to a different branch that had no staff, and I worried whether my stuff wouldve been safe or not, especially if I left it there for a year. I choose Putney branch (although it was little bit more expensive than Wandsworth.)
Because I went abroad a year ago and I was thinking if my stuff became damaged, or something happened, I wouldve been disappointed. But I was very surprised to find out that the condition of my things were more than fine, and the lady with blonde hair was busy cleaning so the condition of the facility was very good. She was also very responsive and kind. I would definitely recommend other customer to use Shuguard, Putney branch.

⭐️ 1/5 – SCAMMED & UNFAIRLY CHARGED – AVOID SHURGUARD PUTNEY
I rented a unit here 26 June — agreed offer: £1 first month, total charge £21, which I paid. Just 3 days later they took £1,390 from my son’s card — completely without reason, permission or anything in the contract.
When I went to ask why, they said: “We cancelled/removed the £1 deal” — but I signed and agreed based exactly on that offer. If I’d known they’d suddenly demand £1,390 I would never have taken it — pure mis‑selling.
The unit itself is terrible: upstairs, very narrow — CANNOT move pallets easily. Two doors, one door has their own lock — so I don’t even have full private control. Worst: stock has gone missing — I don’t feel safe or secure at all.
Every time I go they say: “Zac handled it, Zac isn’t here — nobody else can help”. It feels like Zac runs everything and no manager takes responsibility — God knows when or if he’ll be back. Charging £1,390 after I moved in is NOT in my contract — it’s theft.
Dishonest pricing, bad access, unsafe storage, missing goods & zero service. Do NOT rent here — you will be ripped off.

The storage is so convenient to use with digitised access, long access hours and generous parking area. But where human intervention is needed - the team onsite is super friendly and helpful - my request to change storage unit to a bigger one was sorted out in minutes!

I have been with Shurgard for a year now and it’s been an absolute breeze. I needed storage after needing to relocate and arrived at Wandsworth where I met Caroline, I didn’t have an appointment, was desperate and thought, I could sign up at Wandsworth on a Sunday…
Back at the Putney Branch, Caroline took me through the process of arranging a unit and the administration. Without Caroline’s initial support, I don’t think, my items would be as safely secured, as they are now. She was so calm, professional and courteous.
Following on a year later both Anthony and Caroline again have come to my rescue arranging another unit at a better price and more storage. If you’re looking for reasonable rates, secure storage and courteous, professional associates, and you’re in the SW Postcode, do consider looking at Shurguard for your storage needs.
