After storing my belongings for the past 24 months I’m happy to say that I’ve always had a consistently great experience. The set up and moving out procedures were easy to follow. The staff are very friendly and are well knowledged in the services Shurgard provides so they are always happy to answer any questions I had during my stay.

Weve just rented a storage unit and the online sign up process was easy, ID verification online was a bit quirky but they called me to check everything was ok and sent a new link.
Then went we got there we got a little stuck with the app, but there was someone there to help and we got all settled in, then today we've had a follow up call to check it all went well.

This is my first time renting a unit so I was a bit clueless about the whole procedure. I completed all the rental paperwork online (super easy and had great offers too compared to other competitors) and I arrived to move my stuff at out of office hours. That wasn't a problem though as the instructions on the email about everything were so clear. I was impressed with the use of the app, opening and closing doors with it is such a breeze. A little bag with the keys and instructions for the lock were waiting for me in the unit and everything was sorted.
However, what I was mostly impressed of was one of the employees proactivness. Richard called me the next day to check that everything went well and ask if I had any questions. He then recommended that if I hadn't filled my unit fully I could move to a smaller one which was opposite of mine and that could save me 25% of my total rent. I was absolutely thrilled to hear that so the next day I went in, met Richard who was extremely kind, polite and super helpful and sorted out all the paperwork for me.
This is one of the few times that I leave a 5 star review but Richard and the store absolutely deserve it!! I wish every business was like that and every customer representative was as professional and smiley as Richard. Well done!

The ease of booking online with a selection of sizes, insurances and whether a lock was required couldn't have been easier. Arriving at the site, using the app made everything so easy to access the compound and use the lifts. The lock was in the storage room ready for us and nothing was too difficult. Well insulated areas so we know nothing will get damaged due to damp. Very happy with the ecperience

I recently opened an account at Shurgard in Camberley, however I haven't been able to find time to visit the location. However, only 2 working days after the account was set up I received a call from Shugard asking if everything was ok as I hadn't visited yet.

From a company image point of view it needs to improve its phone response as in 4 calls to finalise the storage I never got back to the previous person that I spoke to
