  Upstairs storage units are often cheaper than those on the ground floor of the same size, so choose these if you don’t have a lot of bulky or heavy stuff to store, or if you don’t have to frequently move stuff in and out of your unit. At Shurgard Bolton you can still conveniently access your upstairs storage unit with the help of our goods lifts and trolleys.
• What is the advantage of storage units with ground floor access?
  With ground floor access units, you don’t have to use a lift to transport your belongings from your vehicle to your storage unit. This is especially convenient if you need to frequently store heavy or bulky items.
• Can I visit the storage unit before renting?
  Yes, you can always stop by Shurgard Bolton during office opening hours and our staff will be happy to show you around.
• What can I store at Shurgard Bolton?

  At Shurgard we take security seriously. All our self-storage facilities have:

• Is there a minimum rental period?
  You can rent your storage unit for as short as one week. Just inform our staff about your planned move out date when you sign your contract.
• Do I need to pay when I reserve a storage unit online?
  No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.
• Do I need to pay a security deposit when renting at Shurgard?
  No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.
• Can I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard Bolton now and start renting in 2 months’ time?
  Of course, when reserving your storage unit, you can indicate your move-in date. Our staff at Shurgard Bolton will hold the unit, the price and promotion for you for 30 days. If the move in date is at least 2 months away, we can only reserve the availability of the unit not the price or promotion.
• How do I reach Shurgard Bolton by car?
  Shurgard Bolton is on the corner of Lower Bridgeman Street and Manchester Road (A575), just off St Peter’s Way (A666). Turn off Manchester Road (A575) into Shurgard, located right next to the Audi garage.
• Is Shurgard Bolton easily accessible by public transport?

• What are the differences between access hours and office hours?
  Office opening hours is when the office is open if you want to sign your contract or talk to one of the Bolton store managers in person. Access hours is when you have access to your storage unit.
