Shurgard becomes partner of Run&Wheels

What is Run&Wheels?

Run&Wheels is a Belgian non-profit that helps children with physical disabilities enjoy sports and social interaction. The association makes activities accessible and inclusive, showing that sport is for everyone.

How does it work?

Run&Wheels organises events and creates suitable sports equipment so children with a disability can also take part. Their main events and initiatives:

Pico's Cup: a fun sports day for children with a disability, with adapted games and a football tournament.
Holiday camps: inclusive camps where children with and without disabilities play and learn together.
JollyBumper: a clever add-on for wheelchairs that lets children play football.
Adaptive skateboarding: skate sessions for children with mobility challenges.
Conferences: events where families and professionals share ideas and support inclusive sport.

How does Shurgard help Run&Wheels?

We provide free storage space at our facility in Evere, where the association can store their sports equipment, such as wheelchairs and walkers, and materials used to organise sports events.

Our team also offer hand-ons help during any sports event or conferences. We also take participate in other events, such as adapted festival or end-of-year celebration.

How can you help?

Run&Wheels is always looking for financial support. They need your donations to create adapted sports equipment, to organise inclusive sports days, and to purchase sports gear.
