Shortly before your move-in date, we’ll send you an email with:

• your personal access code to enter the premises
• a map and instructions to help you locate your storage unit

We recommend downloading the Shurgard app so you can easily open gates, doors, and elevators with your phone.

You have free access to your storage unit 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Visit your store information page to check the exact access hours.

• Office hours are the opening hours of the office where you can meet our store managers for advice or questions.
• Acces hours are the hours when you can enter our premises and access your storage unit.

All our locations offer parking, and many provide convenient drive-in access so you can park inside to load and unload your items. We also offer free trolleys to make it even easier to move your belongings to your storage unit.

Yes, you can use our trolleys and loading docks (where available) for free to simplify loading and unloading.

Yes, we have storage units that are directly accessible by car or lorry. These units are typically located on the ground floor, at the exterior of the building, allowing you to park your vehicle right in front of your unit for easy loading and unloading.

Yes, when you rent a storage unit at Shurgard you can also give family or suppliers access.

You decide who can access your unit and to whom you give your access code and key.

Note that the person who has entered into the rental contract remains responsible and liable, for example for damage to the premises or other people’s belongings.

If you’ve downloaded the app, your access code will be available there once you sign in as a customer.

Download the Shurgard app in the app stores or scan the QR code below to recover your access code or to open gates, doors, and elevators with your phone.

No, Shurgard does not receive deliveries on behalf of private or business customers.

However, you can easily arrange for your suppliers to deliver directly to your storage unit. You can request access for your suppliers, so you don’t have to be present each time a delivery arrives.

Each person you authorise will have their own access code, allowing you to track who accessed your unit and when. You can also request an overview of access history from your store manager for extra peace of mind.
